2018 Wine-a-ree Supports Scouting's Life-changing Programs

The tenth annual Wine-A-Ree wine, beer and spirits tasting festival will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at The Commons in Columbus, IN.  Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.  Unlimited tastings and a commemorative wine or beer glass are included in the price of the ticket.  The VIP tasting hour will be from noon to 1 pm.  VIP tickets are $45 and are limited.  VIP guests will receive a special gift. All proceeds benefit Hoosier Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, which serves over 6,000 young people in 18 counties of south central Indiana.  Find out more information, or buy tickets here.

Council Service Center Struck by Sleeping Driver

On Monday morning, August 13th a driver crashed into the Hoosier Trails Council Service Center, in Bloomington.  There were no serious injuries; however, it will be a while before our facility recovers.  Stay tuned for updates.  Business operations has not been interrupted by this incident.

Major Gifts Initiative

We have added content to our MGI webpage, including site plans, project spec sheets, building drawings, an MGI newsletter and more.  Check it out.  Scout units can participate in the investments in our camps, an Adopt a Campsite option has been made available, through which a Scout unit or individual can commit to a gift of support, payable over three years.  Special recognition will be posted in the campsite.  Presently four such shelters are being installed at MSR.  Get more details on this opportunity.
