POLICIES

Units are required to administer medication to the youth at camp under their supervision.

Wisconsin DPI Medication Administration Training is required under Wisconsin State Law.

Medication should be administered by a registered adult over the age of 21.

The responsible adult administering medication needs complete the DPI Medication Administration Training. A certificate of training will need to be emailed to eric.muench@scouting.org.
Meaning, at least one adult from every unit should complete the training. -
Parents or court-appointed guardians administering medication to their own child are not required to take this training. Parents/guardians administering medication to their own children & adults administering their own medication should take reasonable effort to secure all medications.

A medication lock box will be provided to all units that do not have one.

All units administering medications are required to fill out a medication log book, and return to camp health staff upon check out.

PART ONE: BASIC MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION Click on 'Basic Administration Training' button on the dropdown menu, under 'Medication Administration Principles'. |

Click on each module and click NEXT through each page.
Complete every module so there is a yellow check mark through each module. You may need to on the 'Basic Medication Administration' in the lefthand menu to get back to the module screen. DO NOT PRINT OUT OR EMAIL CERTIFICATES IF ASKED FOR ANY OF THESE SECTIONS. YOU WILL NEED TO EMAIL THE CERTIFICATE AT THE VERY END OF THIS TRAINING. |
