Lord Baden-Powell said, "A week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room."

Since its founding, Scouting has taught self-reliance and promoted a strong work ethic. Just as important, perhaps, is our goal that no Scout be prevented from participating in a Scouting activity because of lack of funds.

Through the efforts of our council staff and the generosity of those in our communities, the Heart of New England Council is pleased to offer a campership assistance program to help get Scouts to camp. Each year partial Scout camp fees are designated to those Scouts who wish to go to camp but are unable to afford the full fees.
