Row the Boat is an exclusive Mount Baker Council participation and performance recognition program for our units that aligns immediate and annual recognition incentives with the goals of the Council’s Strategic Vision in Membership Growth, Program Participation, Manpower Development and being a Unit Team Player. 

As part of the Row the Boat unit recognition program, units will have the opportunity to be annually recognized as a team players as part of our Mount Baker Council Crew and earn special incentives that recognize their efforts to move Scouting's mission forward in our Council territory.  All requirements must be earned by the annual charter renewal. Incentives will be implemented for the following full calendar year (January 1 - December 31).  

Program Timeline: The Row the Boat program is essentially a full year incentive process (November 1 - October 31)  

All requirements must be earned by the annual unit renewal (October 31st).  Incentives will be implemented for the following full calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Submissions for annual recognition incentives due by November 30th. Extended to December 15, 2024

Row the Boat - Unit Recognition Requirements

For a unit to achieve one of the three levels within the Row the Boat recogntion program, it must achieve the following steps:

Required for All Levels:

• The Troop had a minimum of 17 registered youth members (non-multiple) on October 31st

or

• The Troop had an increase of 10% or greater in registered youth members (non-multiple) on October 31st over last October 31st.

Recognition Levels:

• Crew:  Achieved a score of at least 25 points in Pack Achievements
• Captain:  Achieved a score of at least 40 points in Pack Achievements
• Commodore:  Achieved a score of at least 55 points in Pack Achievements
