Citizenship in Society Merit Badge has been rolled out with some unique instructions from the Boy Scouts of America on the selection and training of counselors. This merit badge will not have a merit badge pamphlet and will not be taught. Rather the merit badge will ask our counselors to guide the Scouts on thier journey in earning this merit badge.
To be a Merit Badge Counselor for Citizenship in Society you must meet the following qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be registered with the Boy Scouts of America
- Be Youth Protection Trained
We are currently working on a new training date.
We also encourage everyone to complete the 30 minute Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training for volunteers provided by the Boy Scouts of America: https://training.scouting.org/courses/SCO_1800
