Campership Eligibility
- Camperships are limited to one summer camp experience per youth.
- Camperships are available only to youth who are registered members of the Greater St Louis Area Council (GSLAC), Boy Scouts of America.
- It must be understood that all other sources of financial help have been exhausted; including youth member's own earning power, family resources, and chartered partner's resources.
- Scouts must have participated in either the 2020 Popcorn sale or the 2020 Camp Card sale.
- Family vacations, private education, etc. are not considered valid reasons for financial assistance.
- Utilization of Camperships is for summer camp programs within GSLAC only and therefore, cannot be applied to camps offered by other councils or national BSA high adventure bases (Philmont Scout Ranch, The Summit, Florida Sea Base, Northern Tier).
Important Notes
- Campership amounts will be between 10%-50% of the full camp fee. You are receiving a temporary credit of 50% until your application has been reviewed and a final amount is approved.
- Campership applications will be pulled on the 15th of every month for review and approval. Notifications will be emailed by the 1st of the following month.
- Camperships will not be used to reimburse any fees already paid. Do NOT prepay any amount for which a Campership is being requested to cover. Instead, check "Yes" in the online registration system, and the requested campership amount will be applied to the appropriate youth member up to the 50% threshold. Remember the amount is not final until it has been reviewed and a final amount applied.
- Campership funds are limited, Camperships will not be issued once those funds are exhausted.
- Camperships are nontransferable, nonrefundable, and have no cash value.
- Campership Applications will not be accepted after May 15, 2021.
