At Fire Mountain this summer, troops will function as a cohort - experiencing camp as a discrete unit rather than as individual Scouts.

In order to access merit badges, troops will select various "bundles" of merit badges for a specific timeslot. THEN, Scouts will select which option within the bundle they want to earn.

For a full list of the bundle options, please review the 2021 Fire Mountain Program Guide.

Please note that larger troops may need to function as more than 1 cohort. Per Washington State guidelines, a cohort may have no more than 16 Scouts.

  • If your troop has 17-32 Scouts, you will function as 2 cohorts
  • If your troop has 33-48 Scouts, you will function as 3 cohorts

Please note that once established, Scouts may only participate within their assigned cohort. If Timmy from Cohort A wants to participate in a badge with Cohort B, that will not be allowed.

You should complete this survey form once for each cohort you will bring to camp.
