
The Larry A. Fleming Memorial Eagle Scout Scholarship is available to Eagle Scouts who have completed all of their Eagle Scout requirements between January 1st and December 31st annually. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a member of each yearly class of Eagle Scouts, based on the merit of the applicant's Eagle Scout service project. Candidates must apply for consideration by January 31, following the calendar year they receive their Eagle Scout Award. An applicant does not have to be a graduating senior to qualify. The scholarship winner will be announced at the Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Banquet. The scholarship will be paid in the recipient's name, to a school of higher education, upon enrollment after their high school graduation.
To be considered for the Larry A. Fleming Memorial Scholarship, you must include a written summary of the service project you completed as part of your Eagle Scout Award. You may fill it out as part of this application or attach a separate file. Be sure to give a detailed description on your project. the purpose, the volunteers involved, number of hours of service completed, any costs involved, and the group or institution who benefited from your completed project. Summaries should be no more than 1500 words.
