We offer a special orientation for first-year campers and their parents. This program is designed to relieve anxieties first-year campers and their parents might have about Scouts BSA long-term camping.

Some of the questions we will answer will be:

-    Where am I going to sleep?
-    What do the tents look like?
-    Where do I eat?
-    What are the showers and bathrooms like?
-    Where do I go if I get an injury?
-    What is there to do during the day?
-    What is “Dan Beard”?
-    Discuss home sickness and how to help avoid it.
-    How do I communicate with my Scout?
-    What should I bring to camp?
-    What should I leave at home?
-    Medications at camp?
-    Any questions you have?

Scouts and parents will also have a tour of Camp Buck Toms.
