An adult training scholarship provides financial assistance to help adult volunteers participate in advanced leadership training courses. These scholarships support the development of dedicated leaders who guide and mentor youth in the Scouting program. Cascade Pacific Council is committed to making leadership development accessible to all volunteers, regardless of financial circumstances.
Who Can Apply?
- Cascade Pacific Council adults attending one in-council Wood Badge training per year.
Key Details
- Eligibility: Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Priority is given to households within Federal Poverty Guidelines.

- Funding: Scholarships may cover a portion of the event fee, generally ranging from 30% up to a maximum of 50%, based on financial need and available funding.
Limitations
- One scholarship per adult per year.
- Not available for Out-of-Council events, National High Adventure bases, Jamborees, OA events, or adult leader camp fees.
- Not available to adults from other councils.
How to Apply
- Complete the Application: Provide complete and accurate information, including household income and financial need.
- Submit Early: Scholarships are limited and granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Match Registration: Ensure the name and unit number on your application exactly match your event registration.
- Wait for Review: The review process may take 2 - 4 weeks. You will be notified if approved.
Important Notes
- Applicant must be registered for the event and have paid any required initial deposits before applying for a scholarship.
- A pending scholarship balance does not guarantee approval; it reflects that your application is under review and may change once processing is complete.
- Scholarships expire if not used. Full fees apply for cancellations made less than two weeks before the event unless a valid refund request is approved.
- Applications close two weeks before the event start date.
