
Summer Camp Refund Policy
For Scouts BSA and Venturing summer camps, any youth spots that have not had the deposit of $85 by April 15th will be removed from the unit’s camp reservation.
Refund Policy:
- All refund requests must be submitted via the refund request form thirty (30) days prior to attending camp.
- No refunds will be granted without thirty (30) days’ notice unless one of the extenuating circumstances listed below is met.
- Refund requests will NOT be accepted at camp. All requests must be sent using the online form.
- All refunds will be issued back to the payee via the original method of payment. The unit is responsible to distribute the refund if payment was made by the unit.
Absolutely no refunds will be granted for No Shows.
All refunds will be less a 10% processing fee. Any refunds submitted after May 31st will only be eligible for 75% of the total camp fee.
All refund requests must be completed by August 31st. No refunds will be approved after this date, regardless of circumstance.
Completing the Refund Request Form does not guarantee the refund will be received. The person submitting the request will receive notification if the request is denied.
The only circumstances under which a refund will be considered less than thirty (30) days prior to arrival are:
- An injury/illness that prevents attendance at summer camp. A signed doctor’s note must accompany this request.
- The death of an immediate family member (parent/guardian, sibling, grandparent).
- Family relocation makes attending camp impractical.
- Mandatory summer school attendance/work schedule change. A signed note from the school/employer must accompany this request.
Year-Round/Weekend
Rental fees are refunded only under extenuating circumstances or severe medical emergencies. Refund requests made less than 30 days prior to the reservation are only eligible for a refund of 75% of the total fee. Refund requests made less than 14 days prior to the reservation are only eligible for a credit toward a future reservation. If a refund is sought, the refund request form must be filled out and submitted. Absolutely no refunds will be approved for no shows.
District/Council Events
Activity fees are refunded only under extenuating circumstances or severe medical emergencies. If a refund is sought, the refund request form must be filled out and submitted no more than 30 days after the event for consideration. Refunds will not be given based on weather. Refund amounts of $10 and under will not be refunded, but can be credited towards a future activity.
