By submitting this application, you are requesting to be considered for a staff position the 2025 National Youth Leadership Course that will be part of the Mid-Iowa Council’s NYLT Program at Mitigwa Scout Reservation. Course runs July 20 - July 26.

By submitting this application, you acknowledge and agree to the full commitment of time and effort to fulfill the requirements, duties, and obligations of the NYLT Staff position that you may be offered initially or asked to step into at any time prior to NYLT Program Week. These dates will be announced soon and if you have any conflicts these will be considered on a case by case basis by the Course Director and Scoutmasters.

These commitments will include, but are not limited to, the following: Staff development meetings on Zoom, monthly NYLT Staff Development Weekends beginning in April, NYLT Course Set-up days (Friday & Saturday), all course days (Sunday through Friday), and a full post-course day for Teardown, Packing, & Storing (Saturday until 5 PM).

All staff members will have additional commitments of time and effort dedicated to preparing for Development Weekends and to learning Program Content preparation and presentation. Members holding staff positions must be able and willing to make NYLT their top priority and will be expected to attend all scheduled NYLT events and activities in their entirety.
